River Bend Forest Preserve, Mahomet, IL

When it comes to picking the location for any session, I strive to try new places. The popular parks and landmarks are great, but eventually do get tiring to the eye. Plus, I find that the places closest to your heart photograph the best anyways because there’s more of a story behind the photos. So when discussing options, Austin brought up the idea of the River Bend Forest Preserve just outside of Mahomet. He used to go fishing there a lot and thought it would be pretty this time of year. Off to Mahomet we ventured, and it was perfect! The trails through the trees, the docks on the lake, and the bluffs leading down to the ultimate secret fishing spot, which, luckily for me is also perfect for photos. I can’t wait for their wedding next September, it’s going to be so fun!
