Many of you know how I love to second shoot. Working with other professional wedding photographers is so much fun! Last fall, I had the opportunity to second shoot for Kaula with Kaula Marie Photography. You may remember the name from the headshots I did for her and her business partner last year. She is such a blast to visit with and I liked watching her in her true element! Although I didn’t blog these right away, it has been nice to look back through that day and remember all of the gorgeous fall light we had. Fall weddings have the most beautiful light, and these dreary Illinois days we’ve been having lately is making me miss that fall weather!
The wedding was on a Thursday, which was my first weekday wedding and I loved it! The gorgeous Pear Tree Estate was in perfect fall fashion with it’s lush green trees and blooming rose bushes, which gave the photos outside such a gorgeous pop of color. The ceremony space was simple but beautiful, lined with crates filled with purple and red florals. Unfortunately, Kaula only needed my help up until after the portrait time was done, but I can’t wait for later this year when I get to second shoot with her again!
