I absolutely love working with Holly of Holly Birch Photography, and Daniel + Megan’s Pear Tree Estates wedding was no exception. My day started when I met up with Holly in the Concord Room of PTE as the girls got ready for the day. Megan chose a beautiful gown and coral bridesmaids dresses which complimented the guys’ navy and grey suits perfectly for that hot, HOT, July day. After Daniel + Megan saw one another for the first time, we headed to downtown Champaign for bridal party pictures. One of the best parts about working with Holly is that we compliment each other’s shooting. After shooting multiple weddings with Holly, I’ve learned how to almost predict her next move, and try my best to be the best second shooter I can be! Megan + Daniel’s wedding party was so fun to work with, they were so easygoing! Once back to Pear Tree Estates we got busy photographing the many details of the day, including white hydrangeas, candles, and blue mason jars that lined the head table. Of course, LA Gourmet Catering made a wonderful spread of hors d’ oeuvres and meal, and their dessert table was to die for. Toasts was by far the hardest part for me, as Megan’s dad gave the most heartwarming toast that I’ll never forget. He talked about those first moments after meeting Megan for the first time, and how instantly he fell in love with her for the first time. Being 9 months pregnant, I was in tears. Like, shameful, hide-behind-the-camera
crying sobbing. It was so touching and absolutely perfect. To top off the night, the couple chose to have The Brat Pack for entertainment, and I was hooked! They are so much fun to not only listen to, but watch as they bring on different costumes and props for almost every song. Even the kids had a blast as they were gracious enough to share their props with the little ones! I definitely recommend checking them out!
