Three years ago today, I started my day a nervous wreck. Truth be told, I was a nervous wreck for about two days leading up to that day. I cleaned every piece of equipment I owned,
double triple checked my to-do lists, studied tips and tricks I had learned over the past year, and it still wasn’t enough to calm my nerves. You see, I was preparing to photograph my first wedding EVER. I had spent the previous year second shooting with other professionals throughout all of Illinois and luckily had met the perfect couple who trusted me to capture their big day. This day, three years ago, Adam + Krisi said “I do” outside of Paxton at the Timber Creek Bed + Breakfast, and throughout any bumps we may have had, it was the perfect first wedding for me.
Since then, those two strangers crazy enough to trust me so long ago have become my best friends, my business has changed and grown so much, I’ve learned a lot more wedding day tips and tricks, but I still get nervous the day before a wedding. Here I am, three years later, patting myself on the back for making it this far, though I can’t wait to see what’s next for Mager Image. Being a business owner hasn’t been easy in the slightest, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Happy birthday to me, and happy anniversary to Adam + Krisi!
And because we just so happened to update their family photos the other day, enjoy this comparison from 2013 to today!
